Deborah Weymont is a Bristol based artist who works with clay. Her studio- ‘Unit 42’ - is at Meriton Foundry https://meritonfoundry.co.uk/ Previously she was a full time member of Clay Shed and Maze Studios (now closed).

Deborah is a founding member of Bristol Clay https://www.instagram.com/bristol.clay/ - a collective of clay artists who support each others art practice and exhibit biannually in Bristol.

Deborah currently works mainly with ‘wild clay’ and earth pigments which she uses to make pastels, paints, clay bodies and glazes.

She has an ongoing interest in using clay to handbuild pots, plates, tiles and functional and sculptural pieces with a focus on surface decoration.

Deborah’s work is experimental and playful-integrating traditional materials and craft techniques with a modern attitude and aesthetic. The invitation is to 'look again' and to see something that is both familiar and new.
